Micah Degollado
Micah never knew her father. She was in her mother’s womb when her father was killed in action. Micah is a sweet, soft-spoken girl who dreams of becoming a doctor one day. She is now in Grade 5 and has been a consistent honor student.
Arvy Grace Apag
Arvy was just 6 years old when she lost her father, Sgt. Armando Apag. She fondly remembers him carrying her on his shoulder as a little girl. Since then, Arvy’s dream was to give her mother a secure and stable life. Arvy was a HERO scholar since Grade 1. She is now 27 years old. She graduated BS Computer Engineering at the Jose Rizal University. She is now employed as an IT staff at the DSWD.
Angelo Valencia
When Angelo was just in his mother’s womb, his father, MSgt Leonardo Valencia Jr. was shot in the head during an ambush. Sgt Valencia was hospitalized for a long time and lived but he is now deaf and blind. Angelo was a HERO scholar since Grade 5. He is 25 years old now.. He graduated BS Nursing from San Juan De Dios School of Nursing. He is now employed in a Tutoring Center in order to save up for his Masters Studies.
