A young Lego fan holding a Philippine flag donates his support
MAKATI, Philippines – As part of its mission to raise educational support for the children of soldiers killed or incapacitated in action, HERO (Help Educate and Rear Orphans) Foundation kicks off its “Lego for HERO” event on Independence Day, June 12, at Glorietta 3 Ayala Center, Makati City.
“With the ongoing conflict in Marawi, our wounded and fallen heroic soldiers with their bereaved families need more of our support.” said Mauwi Villar, Hero Foundation’s marketing officer.
For every P100 donated, there is one free Lego Polybag in exchange, with a maximum of 3 Polybags per person per day only. Donators could choose among four Lego Polybags from Lego Legends of Chima, Nexus Legends, and Batman Lego.
Hundreds of mall-goers donate to express their support to the event and foundation. Aside from the LEGO Polybags, HERO Foundation’s t-shirts were also available for only P350. All these proceeds will go to support Soldier’s children education.
“We hope for continuous support. Like Legos, we can all help build these children’s future and in doing so, our country’s future as well.” Mauwi added.
For those who are interested, HERO Foundation’s booth is found at Glorietta 3 between Zara and Lacoste, and will run until June 18, Sunday – Father’s day.
